Urgent Care
Pawsitive Pets Veterinary Care is now offering urgent care services by appointment.
What are urgent care services? Urgent care services provide outpatient care for pets with non-life-threatening conditions that still need to be seen by a veterinarian.
Urgent Care provides help when:
- Conditions are non-critical.
- No hospitalization is required.
- No surgery is required.
- Only basic diagnostics are needed.
The following conditions are typical situations that warrant an urgent care appointment. If you are ever unsure, please contact PPVC at 785-856-7387 and we will be happy to advise you:
- Abscesses
- Allergies
- Excessive scratching
- Skin Irritations: itching, hives, hot spots, rashes
- Anal Gland scooting or licking
- Ear infections
- Head Shaking
- Eye squinting or discharge
- Parasites
- Toenail Injuries
- Limping or Lameness
- Back or Neck Pain
- Respiratory Infections
- Coughing
- Urinary Tract Infections
- Frequent Urination
- Blood in stool or urine
- Vomiting or Diarrhea
- Lethargy
- Not eating or drinking
- End-of-life care (euthanasia)
